Peter Mason Associates was established by Peter Mason as sole trader in 1989, initially for the provision of road and sewer design solutions to the residential development sector. Since that time the practice has developed across a wide range of technical fields, becoming a private limited company in July 1999.

We are now Peter Mason Associates Limited with directors, Peter Mason and Steve Douglas, based in our offices at Siddington in Cheshire and Mawdesley, Lancashire

PETER MASON

Prior to 1989, Peter spent 20 years employed by The Borough Engineer of Macclesfield Borough Council, where he was involved in all aspects of sewerage, private drainage and land drainage on behalf of the Planning and Development authority for projects in both public and private sectors, including appearances at Planning Appeal Inquiries.

Peter worked for The City Engineer of Manchester City Council from 1969 to 1989, where he was responsible for preparing development sites on public housing projects.

Before 1966 Peter was employed by British Rail as an assistant engineer.

Peter was admitted as an Associate Member of The Institution of Civil Engineers in 1966.

STEVE DOUGLAS

Steve has been employed in the consulting engineering sector since graduation in 1974. During that time his work has included civil and structural design and advice on sewerage and sewage treatment projects, highways and transportation schemes and involvement on a wide range of building projects. His work has also involved preparation of Proofs of Evidence for Planning Inquiries and acting as Expert Witness in legal actions.

Steve was admitted as a Corporate Member of The Institution of Civil Engineers in 1980.
